Richard Jander, Managing Director

Rich is responsible for leading Maranon’s transaction origination effort and heads the firm’s Michigan office. Rich has 20 years of corporate finance experience, primarily focused on the origination, underwriting and management of senior and junior debt.  Prior to joining Maranon Capital in May 2008, Rich was a Director with CapitalSource, Inc., a $15 billion specialty finance company, where he directly originated over $350 million of senior, junior and one-stop debt investments in 17 transactions as well as multiple equity co-investments across a variety of industries from 2003 to 2008.  

Previously, Rich was a First Vice President in the leveraged finance group at LaSalle Bank where he led a direct origination effort focused on middle-market financial sponsors.  He began his career with PNC Bank, where he served in a variety of roles within commercial banking and corporate finance.

Rich holds an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and a B.S.B.A. from Miami University.
