Greg Long, Managing Director

Greg has over 10 years of experience in leveraged lending, private equity and investment banking.  Prior to joining Maranon Capital, Greg was at American Capital Strategies, Ltd. from May 2004 to November 2007, where he was a Vice President, responsible for sourcing, underwriting and monitoring senior and mezzanine debt and leveraged buyout equity investments.  While at American Capital, he served on the boards of directors of Kirby Lester LLC and Smith Bucklin Corporation. 

Previously, Greg was with L.E.K. Consulting where he managed strategic engagements for both private equity and Fortune 1000 clients.  Prior to L.E.K. Consulting, Greg was an Investment Associate at William Blair Capital Partners where he executed lower middle market leveraged buyout and growth equity investments. Greg began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley where he worked on merger, acquisition and corporate finance related transactions.

Greg earned an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and a B.B.A from the University of Notre Dame.
