Maranon Capital is seeking investment associates with strong analytical skills, a highly developed business curiosity and a track record of leadership and achievement. The successful candidates will work directly with the firm’s senior investment professionals to originate, evaluate and manage investments in middle market businesses.

Responsibilities: 

• Review and present investment opportunities to the firm’s senior investment professionals;
• Drive Maranon’s diligence and underwriting processes;
• Compose investment committee approval documents; perform valuation analysis; develop complex financial models;
• Actively monitor portfolio company performance;
• Communicate effectively with private equity sponsors, investment banks, due diligence providers and other third parties relevant to transaction underwriting

Requirements: 

• At least one year of professional experience (private equity, investment banking, senior cash flow or mezzanine debt lending experience is a plus);
• Solid financial statement analysis, financial modeling and valuation skills;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work as a member of a small team handling a wide range of responsibilities.
