Maranon Capital, L.P. (“Maranon”) announced today that Rommel Garcia has been appointed Managing Director and Partner. “Rommel’s contributions have been essential to the growth of our investment platform” said Ian Larkin, Managing Director and a Founding Partner of Maranon. “We are pleased to recognize his accomplishments as the professional growth and retention of our team are key to Maranon’s success.”

Rommel earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and an A.B. from the University of Chicago. He joined Maranon as an Associate in 2008.

Maranon also announced that Andrew Eshelman and Greg Daniele have both been promoted to  Principal, while Kyle Lindsay and Sam Eduljee were elevated to Vice President and Associate, respectively. All will continue to have primary responsibility for investment activities at the firm. In addition, Brian Pearl and Kyle Smith were both promoted to Portfolio Associate.

Maranon’s operations team also announced several advancements. Aaron Simkovich has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. Aaron joined Maranon as Controller in 2013. He earned his MBA from Boston University School of Management and a B.A. in Economics from Yeshiva University. With Aaron’s appointment to Chief Financial Officer, Mike Parilla, a Managing Director and Partner of the firm, will take on the role of Maranon’s Chief Operating Officer.

In addition, Charlene Meise was promoted to Controller and Jana Gardella was made Director of Human Resources.

Maranon also announced three additions to its investment and operations teams.

Kayla Brock and Caroline Cieciura joined Maranon’s investment team as Portfolio Analysts. Prior to Maranon, Kayla was with KPMG’s business valuation group, while Caroline was with the disputes and investigations practice at Duff & Phelps.

In addition, Caitlin Mabe joined Maranon’s operations team as a Fund Accountant. Previously Caitlin was with RSM’s audit practice.
